Our #1 Favorite Thing about the April Issue of Rolling Stone

In this month’s issue of Rolling Stone magazine, readers are given 40 reasons to get excited about music. #1? The Black Eyed Peas. #40? A page of statistics proving that despite the “collapse of the music business”, people still love music. Our favorite however, was number 24, an article entitled “Because Atlantic Records has entered the 21st Century.”

The article begins with “The song booming over the studio monitors is just a few hours old, and not even finished – but Craig Kallman, co-chairman and CEO of Atlantic Records, is already figuring out how to sell it.”

We might love it because it proves that a major record label has the ability to survive in a world where CD sales are plummeting. Or we might love it because those previously mentioned studio monitors can be found in Platinum’s Studio J!

Check out the rest of the article here:

Platinum would like to thank Mr. Kallman for paying us a visit and we look forward to seeing him in the future!
